House Project - Chalk Board Cabinets

Sanded and applied latex primer layer

Let it dry, applied black chalk board paint!

Draw a bunch of chalk doodles on your cabinets!

How fun is this!? For the longest time since I was inspired by a section in the store Anthropology, I've been wanting to do this. Anthro had some old cabinet with black butcher paper in the middle of the cabinets frame and used some chalk to doodle some art on the doors. And luckily the house came equipped, begging for some love, and for this project. It really turned out to be quite easy and only somewhat meticulous at parts. And very surprisingly I only spent about $20.00 on everything including supplies and probably only took me about 4 hours to do. Just put on some Kylie and an ugly shirt to paint in and you're set! Try it, it's fun!

Now the only real thing left to do is go over the smudges with white paint, but eh whatever. I'll get to that eventually..... AND compare this to the way the kitchen used to look. Scroll down.

What do you think!?

Casita Joselita

My current occupation and obsession.

Style is expressed not only in clothing, but in decoration as well. Interior designers all have different elements they use just like fellow bloggers and fashionistas.

These are pictures of my new house! I'm in love with the entire shabby-chicness to it. This will be one of the largest projects that I've ever taken on but this might be one of the funnest. I already have a million fun ideas, DIY projects, and motivation to make this into the world's most charming and eclectic college house! This house's potential is immense.

Not to mention how this is going to be the best summer of my life! Two of my really close friends are going to be staying this summer with me, one for a month, and the other for the entire time and I already feel just the everyday insane and hilarious moments that we're going to have together! I cannot wait, I cannot wait!!!!

So, I'm always looking for ideas and inspiration for my new project. If you see something amazing, send it to me! I want to start posting DIY projects on here :)

4 - 20/ Greenspirations

In honor of the world's stoner holiday, 420, here are fabulous inspirations brought to you by the lovely men and women that, well, dress to impress and get high and fried.

Mila Kunis in That 70's Show
When do we not see her on something? Rolling in Black Swan, or hanging out, down the street?

Christian Dior SS2011

Mary Louise Parker in Weeds
Suburban powerhouse, this women's got her little box together, and will cut - a - bitch (in Ann Taylor).

Jil Sander SS2011

Alicia Silverstone as Cher in Clueless
She may not come off as it, but let's be real. We saw her 'rolling with the homies.'

Cher in Clueless

Ashton Kutcher as Kelso in That 70's Show
We love the those infamous 70's colors and sweaters, and his cute tanks while tookin' it up.

Both Prada Fall 2011

Thursday, April 14, 2011

Where is my Prada? It is heart breaking for me to get on any fashion website without seeing Prada Spring/Summer 2011 or something that has been influenced by it. All I want are bananas, stripes, and my initials on a P.E. inspired tote!

Prada as the background of my phone until I get it.

Now it just needs to be on me!

Jo Do Rag

Such an underestimated piece of headwear: the do rag.

Originating from ancient China, this iconic head piece may be a staple for some, and for others a mystery. After being completely inspired by a do rag I saw at my local Circle K gas station I knew I needed to recreate this astonishing innovation! Thus, using a scarf I had laying around I created only the most gorgeous thing. Such a great DIY and goes with everything! Wear it!

^ Here's a great example by my boy Slim Thug ^

I literally only just liked the way it sounded.....
