Proenza Schouler D.I.Y. Bracelet

I finally did this project. After seeing so many D.I.Y. tutorials on this awesome idea for a bracelet, today I decided to go to home depot and just buy everything that I needed. This was actually very easy once I got the hang of it. Took me about two times to get it just right. So I cranked up the Animal Collective radio station on my Pandora, sat down and followed this video's instructions: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrVhj54WP8w]. I just love how much that the contrasting colors make this simple bracelet stick out. Plus, now I have a pretty sweet replica of the very expensive and very much in demand Proenza Schouler bracelets. I feel pretty accomplished :D

I have one more D.I.Y. bracelet idea that I stumbled upon, but boy has that one been really hard. Hopefully I'll get the hang of braiding twine soon! Wish me luck.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

House Project - Chalk Board Cabinets

Start:

Sanded and applied latex primer layer

Let it dry, applied black chalk board paint!

End:
Draw a bunch of chalk doodles on your cabinets!

How fun is this!? For the longest time since I was inspired by a section in the store Anthropology, I've been wanting to do this. Anthro had some old cabinet with black butcher paper in the middle of the cabinets frame and used some chalk to doodle some art on the doors. And luckily the house came equipped, begging for some love, and for this project. It really turned out to be quite easy and only somewhat meticulous at parts. And very surprisingly I only spent about $20.00 on everything including supplies and probably only took me about 4 hours to do. Just put on some Kylie and an ugly shirt to paint in and you're set! Try it, it's fun!

Now the only real thing left to do is go over the smudges with white paint, but eh whatever. I'll get to that eventually..... AND compare this to the way the kitchen used to look. Scroll down.

What do you think!?

Casita Joselita

My current occupation and obsession.

Style is expressed not only in clothing, but in decoration as well. Interior designers all have different elements they use just like fellow bloggers and fashionistas.

These are pictures of my new house! I'm in love with the entire shabby-chicness to it. This will be one of the largest projects that I've ever taken on but this might be one of the funnest. I already have a million fun ideas, DIY projects, and motivation to make this into the world's most charming and eclectic college house! This house's potential is immense.

Not to mention how this is going to be the best summer of my life! Two of my really close friends are going to be staying this summer with me, one for a month, and the other for the entire time and I already feel just the everyday insane and hilarious moments that we're going to have together! I cannot wait, I cannot wait!!!!

So, I'm always looking for ideas and inspiration for my new project. If you see something amazing, send it to me! I want to start posting DIY projects on here :)

HAVE AN AMAZING WEEKEND <3
