Looks of the past - Just a Year Ago

It's so funny seeing how much one can change in just one year. I mean, yeah, I went to college which has definitely changed the way I've dressed and behaved but the transition still shocks me. These looks are so funny to go back through. I don't see myself wearing many of these, but some are still really classic and spring. I've also realized how much I've missed wearing hats. It's spring now, so hat mode will be initiated soon. What do you think!? How much have you changed in a year!?

And dare I ask, which of these looks do you just HATE!? Hahaha, the only reason I ask is because I remember taking them off lookbook since nobody would HYPE them, but perhaps the one that I still like will have room for improvement? Let's see!

I hope that everybody has a fabulous week!

Spring Serenity

The air here has become so gorgeous. The weather's fantastic, the clear days with slight breezes seriously feel like an embrace from mother nature herself. I don't ever want it to go. But, for Arizona, summer's basically two weeks away.

My outfit's extremely casual and simple. The shirt I'm wearing makes me want to lay down in the grass and extend my arms and stretch because it's just so casual and lazy. I found this shirt at Goodwill and the stripes/ the way it fits, it just seemed like the perfect shirt that I'll probably wear over and over again for the rest of the season. I'm just on this mission to find short sleeved button ups for Panama this May!

I hope that everybody's week was amazing! Ahora es Viernes, Viernes! FUN FUN FUN!

Like a postcard for my memory

Spring Break 2011 has been so fun, spontaneous, and dare-is-say adventurous even. I'm enjoying SB11 so much more than I thought I would considering that I was just going home to Phoenix. But everyday has been on the go and quite hectic! Like yesterday, I went started my day in Gilbert, then to Chandler, then back to Gilbert, then to Tempe, then to Scottsdale, then to N. Phoenix, then back down to Tempe, and home to Gilbert! So much traveling, for those of you that know the Phoenix area, you can start calling me the Loop Jo du Jour!

This look was put together to start the summer season! I feel like I barely got to deliver what I'm doing for the Spring since here in the desert it already feels very steamy. It's like we skip an entire season and go from COLD to one week of nice weather then to HOT! Oh well though, at least give the desert credit for it's beauty that's extremely looked over by its residence.

Going Green Was Worth It

My first ever fashion show for MODA PROVOCATEUR the yearly fashion shown done by SAAF (Southern Arizona Aides Foundation) was everything I could have asked for and more. The day itself was very long, we started at 7:30 in the morning and didn't end until clear past 9 p.m. However exhausting, I'm leaving this experience with only amazing memories. I can't wait to do it again, and congrats to all the models, salons, boutiques, and especially SAAF for getting together and throwing such an awesome event! I am so excited to do it again next year. I mean, I got me in the newspaper!

I wore all Banana Republic for the show and my hair was done by J. Scordato, a Paul Mitchell Concept Salon here in Tucson. Thank you to J. Scordato for hiring me to represent them, to Jon Shaw for all the rides he provided to get me to rehearsal, The Daily Wildcat for running my photo of me, Claire Jean Photography for some amazing pictures, and every other fabulous person that helped make this such an amazing day!

Now, time to get back to my HELL week that's never taken longer. Spring Break is next week, so I'm expecting to shoot more looks and post more with all the amount of free time I'm going to have. Be looking forward to that, I can't wait!

Karen Walker Eyewear

These are my newest babies: Karen Walker Sunglasses!! They're fantastic, I got the Pilgrim style and they are basically these gigantic wayfarer inspired beauties. Basically, I am obsessed. I got them from Shopbop and they did next day shipping for free! LOVE!

PS. So my hair's lime green now. Thanks to Möda Provŏcateūr 2011 the charity fashion show that I am doing tomorrow for J. Scordato salon. Tucson, if you're not going, you will regret it! Each year this event raises $30,000 - $50,000 for SAAF (Souther Arizona Aids Foundation), so GO! I didn't dye my hair green or purchase Karen Walker's for nothing!

When in Doubt

Morning's like this one can be stressful. The alarm sounds when you're in the deepest sleep and the night before you had a late night and didn't have a single idea of what you were going to wear. Plus, you accidentally forget to set the alarm back to the original time you usually wake up because of today's schedule. Yeah, mornings can be stressful.

Just a quick shower and a sluggish Jo can't think of what to put on du Jour. Didn't look at the temperature, nothing. Get to the closet stare blankly and nothing's going through my mind, just colors and patterns of clothes that I've seen 1,000,000 times before. So, when in doubt - MATCH!

Seriously, this outfit couldn't be simpler: Black, Grey, Black, (Unless you're talk about my hair which is Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow [hahaha, sorry I had too]), and I leave and get compliments on what I'm wearing. So you when you don't know what to wear, just pick the easiest thing that you know, even with a sluggish mind and have no motivation to begin the day. It works. It's worked before, and let's be real, it will work again.

Just a Sec More

DAILY ROUTINE by Animal Collective

I listen to it, well, Daily. There's more movement in it than significance, which is what needs to start happening.

The outfit has only British brands. The shirt is Fred Perry, underneath is actually a sweater by Topman, the pants are from ASOS, the boots are Dr. Marten's, and lastly my bag's the definition of British fashion: Paul Smith.

I basically wanted something that would go well with my hair, something interesting and wouldn't make my new yellow as impacting as it could've been because I'm still trying to get used to it myself. Oh well, it's for charity, which speaking of which!

TUCSON: Moda fashion show is this SUNDAY! If you haven't bought your ticket yet please do. Ask me how! They are selling for $30! All proceeds go to SAAF (Southern Arizona Aids Foundation).

SO - After Moda the question is, Rihanna Red or no???
